It's nursery reveal time!
The room came together slowly over the course of a few months, using a lot of items we already owned, combined with a few new items.
It was a true joy for me to put together and I'm so excited to finally be able to share all of it with you!
We decided to use the small bedroom/office at the end of the hallway. The room was already painted Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter, so there was no need to repaint. It's really calming and makes the room so cozy. As my accent colors, I kept it simple with grey, navy blue and red.
I found the grey Graco crib and couldn't resist the simplicity (and excellent price tag). I kept the bedding simple with just a fitted crib sheet patterned with blue stars (from Walmart).
I made the simple baby blanket, with grey minky on one side and navy blue "Twinkle Little Star" print on the other.
Above the crib, we created a collage of items: a vintage wooden level, a red "H", a wooden Star Marquee, and a framed photo of the red ski lift chairs at Bridger Bowl Ski Area.
Casey hung a few shelves on the wall so that we could display our new board books and a few decorative things that we already had around the house. The "BRIDGER" wooden blocks were a gift from my co-workers, and they added the perfect little touch.
I spent a few months looking for an affordable solid wood dresser that I could refinish for the nursery. Just like many of the pieces in our house, this one needed a little love, but when we found it, I new the size and style were perfect. I used white chalk paint for the main color and blue for the ticking stripes. The hardware is original and I didn't feel like it was necessary to replace it.
The dresser not only provides excellent storage, but also serves as a changing table. One of the few decorative items I purchased for the room was the old Coca-Cola soda box that is being used for a diaper/wipes caddy.
My favorite part of the room is the DIY Plank American Flag. Casey used the tutorial, here, to create this focal piece for the nursery. It was pretty easy and I think the result is absolutely perfect.
And that's pretty much it...our little nursery is all ready!
Thank you guys so much for being here and for being so encouraging and supportive throughout this entire journey. Our little man is due any time now, and although I I expect to be very busy figuring out our new routine, I will make sure to post an update (especially with adorable newborn photos) after he arrives.
So, until then...
